Democrats are an endangered species.

Oh no! I feel political commentary coming on about today's election! Run for the hills! Yet beware that my political opinions are ahead.
Or you can continue to read. Let me tell you something. I registered to vote last month. I voted in my first election via an absentee ballot but nonetheless I voted. I felt very proud of myself and very anxious to hear the results in final.
The thing is Virginia is a very Republican state. Even though the governor, Tim Kaine, is a Democrat, Virginia is very much Republican. There was a senator's race, three referendums, and a congressional race in my district. And it is still too close to call, especially with the Senate Race.
The three referandums though are tricky in my opinion. For instance, the second ballot question is asking if the Virginia General Assembly should delete the provision in the Commonwealth Constitution that prohibits the incorporation of churches, even though it was ruled unconstitutional and therefore "obsolete." Even though it may have been ruled unconditional does not give the grounds to expel a provision such as that. Just my opinion because I always believed in seperation of church and state.
I could go on about my opinions concerning the politics in Virginia but I feel that is unnecessary.
Other than that, I am still feeling somewhat similar to what I have been feeling for the past few days but the ending of Tuesday makes it one day closer to Friday.
I'm going to do a spot of homework before going to bed.
So, cheers.
EDIT @ 10.09 AM on 11.8.2006 : Politics confuse me. I won't deny this. The little part of where I expressed my beliefs about the little section dealing with church and state, I may have contridicted myself because I misread it when trying to explain it. I confuse myself so easily sometimes, it isn't funny. Politics are complex and it would take a rocket scientist or someone wise in the ways of the world to understand it. I am neither but I can interpert literature (to an extent)! / EDIT @ 10.12 AM
